Totally agree! 720P? Wtf? Are we watching a TSCC-CTU rip or what?
1080P+,60FPS+, High Polygon count or GTFO! These stupid consoles have destroyed world gaming!
And no, graphics isn't everything. I'm talking about the games that really need it! World of Goo kicked most stitty releases of 2008 and it's soooo simple, yet so much fun! Many Wii games are like that too!
But when you see crap like GTAIV on the PC, yes it could loose a lot of crapness if the technical department was solid! |

And you say "Nah, that's just a fancy idea, this will never work" =)
Like these are some crazy dumb guys who spent 7 years developing this tech, who tested it, saw it fail and NOW they decided to show it to the public.
This actually works already. http://uk.pc.ign.com/articles/965/965535p2.html
I won't recite the article, just read it and see for yourself.
There's also this one: http://gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=22875
Invitational beta this summer, release -- winter. Even if there will be setbacks, it's virtually already here. It won't hit millions of users instantly, it won't be bugless on launch day, but everybody will be using it eventually. The future is today =) |
