In the great Microsoft tradition, they go ahead and fuck up OSes that are near the end of their life.
What a great way to force people to replace their OSes, yei!
Enter Linux. |

I keep postponing it and I still have patience with Microsoft. That's why I have Windows 7 and Windows 10 everywhere and Linux Mint only on my laptop. However, it looks like what their bunch of amateurs are showing is really making me make a life change and switch the main environment to Linux Mint. I'm already thinking about how to switch some clients as well. After all, they can run the programs they need under Windows in a window via Virtual PC (Oracle). Many of them use Remote Desktop for something nowadays anyway, so it won't be such a big shock for them.
Probably the only problem is Word and Excel, the only way to run them in that virtual window with Windows 10/11. Because OpenOffice is still too problematic - especially for those who use Excel full of macros and tweaks. There's no way around it, often these are government documents. The same with various work with certificates etc. Eventually, however, under virtual Windows, the whole thing could be just fine (speed is not a problem nowadays), and I can easily back up the whole Virtual Machine, so I'll save a lot of worries I have now. |

What sets the Windows partition? Windows! Fresh install the OS Windows does it for you. You set up your own partitions for gaming etc.
if micro shaft can’t see that then they are a shower of incompetence.
What exactly do they do all day.
M$ office.
Scenario: here we have a Win 10 freshly installed - default installation- like most of the general planet does.
Let’s install this KB5034441 before we Chuck out.
Well that didn’t work, maybe it’s just us… put it out anyway.
I’m off on A/L next week. |
