Publisher 505 Games and developer Avantgarden Games have announced Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG). It will launch on February 28, 2024.

Why dont the name these release properly.

Brothers, the money grab.

Most of these remakes and remasters and all that crap are just the same game with a patch so it'll play on a newer console. Some have a new feature which is so not worth it.

Look at Kingpin reloaded. That has new textures and bloom. You can switch between the old and new versions with a button press. The old version looks so much better.
Also old version is about 2gb. new version is 15gb.
Well, as I have over 100+ games on my Steam Deck I need space as its all full so I would prefer the better looking smaller version.

This game, Brothers does need aa remake. its perfectly fine the way it is.
This is just a money grab.
Whats the bet nothing has changed except the executable so it'll run on the newer consoles.

1 way the console makers can stop these money grabs is what Micro$oft are doing.
Having an upscaler built into the console and when needed patches for games.

There are a few Xbox and Xbox360 games that run on the Xbox Series X/S One S/X and they have upscalers so the game will look a lot better than the original.
So why get a remake when the console itself will make it look better?

But we know $ony love these remakes. Anything to make a buck. Thats why $ony dont have any BC built in. You cant tell me the PS5 cant run PS1, PS2, PS3 games. The Steam Deck does it very nicely so with all that extra horsepower in the PS5 tell me again why it cant run old games?

Just add the upscalers and all these money grabs will stop.
