You know, I see this as tax.
You can't upgrade to the next Windows for free because according to Microsoft, certain hardware requirements must be met.
Meanwhile, Windows 11 runs just fine in a VM, without any HW whatsoever.
This will either a) become a class-action lawsuit because MS is abusing its powers, forcing people either to pay subscription fees or purchase expensive new hardware, or b) there will be a new breed of pirates, spreading Windows patches with malware included. |

Idk, but it's pretty crappy either way. They can't admit their Win11 sucks bad and that's the reason so many are still on Win10.. I personally don't care for their stripped down, made for n00bs POS OS.
Now I'm just waiting for the expected "oh there is a really bad bug in Win10, you better pay to get the patch" BS.
I'm going to continue on Win10 regardless until I know more about their next POS OS but I'm pretty close to moving to Linux...because I have just had about enough... |
