It has to be, if Intel wants to live.
But I don't really care what these people write on paper - we have heard great promises before...
I am pretty sure these CPUs won't consume 50% less power (and dissipate that much heat) than their predecessors.

Seems i5 Will be the sweet spot - i7 just has more shit cores, that's all.
Even the i9 has only 8 cores(!), the rest are all shit cores!
6GHz looks very disappointing. We should be at 10GHz already.

I am beginning to think Intel is trying to adopt Nvidia's strategy, trying to force people to upgrade each year.
I see no high performance CPU that you will want to keep for 5+ years here.

Also, the fact that they use the previous generation motherboards suggests they don't have a whole lot of new things to offer - just the usual 'tock' cycle.
With motherboards priced like that, these CPUs won't sell - same as last year.
If I were Intel, I would not put my hopes up.
