What is there to be surprised about?
Noctua is advertising quiet coolers - and they come pretty close to non-quiet ones.
If there's something to be surprised about, it's how bad this CPU performs (watt/heat/performance). You could fry an egg there!
Seems to me that the CPU could also use a delid and application of liquid metal, too.
Good stuff Noctua, as usual!
Also, I would never use MX-6. I always stick to AS-5, no exceptions.
AS-5 requires a burn in period though, so it's not a good candidate for these quick tests. |
