The i5-13500 is basically a i9-12900 with two deactivated P-cores and slightly lower clock speeds. It's even using the same chip (ADL-C0) as the 12th Gen i9 CPUs. It's not so much a uot;downgradeuot; in cache, as it's simply based on a last-gen Alder Lake chip, so it never got the uot;upgradeuot; to begin with.
