I'm afraid this is the current reality of the world. How many push-ups do you do? Smile

smack that kid across the head and tell him to grow up and learn some respect for his parents.

After that display I wouldn't let him touch the xbox for the rest of the day/night. If he keeps going its another day/night.
Then he'll have a huge hissy fit and that's a week.
Sooner or later he'll learn to use other things as he would've not had his xbox for so long hes forgotten how to use it.

What a pussy kids are these days.

My kid is the same, she never learns. In a week she loses her phone and all electronic devices about 5 times.

I learned quickly when I was a kid. These days kids never learn. Even the hard way they still repeat the faults and never learn.

is it in the water? The air? Food?
Kids these days are brainless morons who never learn.

My girls are crazy too, good thing I don't have boys, I'd have to beat them with a stick and they'd hate me LOL

The problem is that our kids grew up in prosperity, they have absolutely everything, it's quite hard to find something to give them as a Christmas present. But what they don't have is the motivation or the urge to do anything Sad

I saw the problem going to happen way before it did.
I went against the laws and courts to bring up my kid the best way.
EVERYONE compliments me with how good my kid is and shes autistic. So having an autistic kid which everyone compliments as being a great kid is a huge plus as to the way I brought her up as a single parent.

Now, the problem as I see it. NO PARENTS!
The parents are both too busy to look after the kid. They are always at work so they have a nanny or babysitter who dont bring up kids as its not their job. They just make sure they are alive at the end of the day so the kid never sees the parents.
They also put the kids in childcare. WHY? so from a babysitter to childcare. Still no kid - parent time.
Then the kid gets older, knows nothing as its had no parents to teach it anything and goes to school who fucks with its head and tells a 7yo to be gay instead of life skills it needs.

So by the time its 12 its had no parenting, no life skills teaching and now has absolutely no common sense and no respect.
THATS why we have 12yos breaking into houses and stealing car keys then the cars they learned to drive from those 18+ games they parents brought for them.
As they are minors the courts throws them out without fines or consequences so the kids repeat their crimes without worry.

Now, I brought up my kid the right way. I was there from the start, NEVER put her in childcare, I taught her everything from the start. She got to school and knew how to do things.
She went to a, lets say "sport" when she was 15. There was a kid there who couldn't tie his shoelaces, couldn't get a straw off the side of the juicebox, abused the shit out of his mum and didn't have a clue about pretty much anything.

So where were all those parents? WHY did they have kids if they knew they wouldn't be there to bring up that kid? WHERE is that kid now? Di they even know or care?

So its not the kids fault its the poor parenting and lack of parents doing what parents SHOULD do.
Oh, and the laws making punishing your kid illegal. When a kid tries to stick a fork in the socket what do you do? Tell them "oh, no doing do that its bad for you" but they are too young to understand your words. OR do you slap them on the hand and say harshly "NO!".
Which will they learn from faster and for the rest of their lives?
I know what I did and it worked, like it did me, my parents, their parents, their parents, and so on. Its worked forever so why outlaws it now? Look at society and the kids now, THAT'S what happens when you don't discipline them. they have no respect. You NEED to give them that smack so they quickly learn rules, respect, right from wrong, yes and no.

Now tell me I'm wrong.....

Biggest mistake that failed this generation. Lack of corporal punishment at school, the lack of being able to chastise or smack kids and tell them NO. That’s why we have kids and adults with absolutely no respect for their elders.
When I was a kid, like a loooooong time ago, I was brought up to do chores, call adults mr (name) and mrs (name), shop keepers knew you and your parents. If you thought you were smart mouthed anybody, I mean anybody, would smack you across the head or kick your arse! That’s respect.
A generation bored of technology, don’t play outdoor games, cycle bikes go running or just behave. Couple that with authority not allowed to kick the shit out them, inc teachers belting your hands with either the leather belt or cane. This is why we have feral, unruly disrespectful, people of all ages today. That spit, answer back at bus drivers, play phones on full volume on buses, trains, shout, swear and put feet on chairs….. yeah, we need compulsory National service brought back. Crap jail sentences increased.
Lions, tigers, bears etc all put their cubs in their place, except humans. It’s natural to put your kids in their place, that’s how they grow up properly. Except now. What a mess. Thanks to a nanny state and boy are we paying for it with crime at an all time high and light smack on the wrist sentences.
