These are very nice gaming laptops. But I still prefer desktop PCs. Laptop for me will remain for life only as an emergency tool for work when I can't sit at the PC, or in the field with clients. How about you? How many people play on a desktop PC, how many on a laptop? (not counting phones, tablets and game consoles).

I only had a laptop as my prime setup while I was studying at the university, since I had to travel from the dorm back home and vice versa each week or bi-weekly. Before and after, I always had a dedicated gaming desktop. Also, now have a gaming desktop in my hobby-room and use a thinkpad for work. Best combo.

Laptops just aren't future-proof and you can't really upgrade them + it's a bit more complicated when they go defective + drivers and their support + inferior cooling and performance if comparing whatever-end builds and and and ...

I just finally finished all the upgrades in my hobby-room this summer. Last addition was a herman miller embody gaming chair, can't imagine sitting anywhere else and enjoying a good session than at my place Very Happy

Same here.
Laptops are for students and sales(wo)men.
Students can't afford this, and it's an overkill for sales(wo)men.
We produce millions of cubing tons of garbage each year. What does this small pile matter? One more nail in the coffin of this planet.

Laptops are bad at mobility, because they're too heavy and have bad battery life. They're also bad at stationary computing, because they're small and have tiny screens and shitty ergonomics.

The one thing they have going for them is that they're portable and can do both things, even if only poorly.

Most people would be way better off with a proper gaming PC at home, and something small, light and portable on the go.
