You don't need it.
If you have a good DDR4 module - look for low RAS/CAS, its transfer rate will be higher than a DDR5's. |

for now, until the DDR5 tech matures, but yes, that is absolutely correct regarding its current state, as with any other DDR transition from one to a newer gen.
I have built 2 PCs with DDR5 during the past months, and with one of them, I had the chance to benchmark DDR5 against high end DDR4 modules. Literally 0 difference in FPS and also in the frame-times. |

High end DDR5 modules are not yet available and even if they were, their price would be unreasonably high.
Once DDR6 is out, we might be able to afford good DDR5 modules.  |
