confirms possible delays due to AGEIA's purchase of Meqon:
We're just now hearing about this, too. On the surface I'm not too happy about it as we were getting to a very very stable point with our physics and nearing a point of being tech complete, and just wor

| I don't know, guys. I've never been waiting for this game in a way I awaited the coming of HL2, SC2/3 or anything else, so I'm not irritated at all. I know how HL1 was done, they actually rebuilt it from the scratch when they saw their works weren't satisfying. They cut the characters, levels, rebuilt the engine. HL1 turns out to be HL2, as developers claim. As for Duke Forever, 8 years of development might do some good to the project's quality, don't you think? Developers learn, they get expirience, they make the project better. The profit from the game depends from the final quality, because I buy a game only after reading at least 5 reviews. So I don't think the devs try "fooling you" after all. |

I really dont mind the waiting time - like Nosferatu said, they learned from experience just like Valve did with HL1 and HL2. I still have faith in 3DRealms... DN3D Forever! |

| If they have been paying people for 8 years to make this game, are they really going to make any profit? |

| actually project did stop and go many times as developers came into the project and left the project, however the game has gotten recently some other developers and it's moving along pretty well. the problems affecting the game are not of the development kind. |
