up at the slowest core. ing 'big' Windows update as Microsoft will be including favored core awareness into the OS, and that can speed up single-threaded applications up-to 15%. For Intel Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0, an operating system will use information stored in the CPU to identify which cores are the fast

Right. Put all single core app to the favoured core.
WTF is wrong with these people?
I hated Ballmer but at least he did not let his people pull off dumb shit.
Satya does not seem to know or care what how his people are fucking people sideways. |

I wouldn't call it dumb.
It's a slight optimization in aid of the already existing Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0 by Intel.
MS wants to implement a better rotation policy, so critical instructions will be distributed more evenly among favoured cores.
Will it create a significant improvement? Probably not, but I welcome the idea of cores being used efficiently. |

All of these so-called improvements keep breaking stuff.
You are being used as Guinea-pigs for their experiments and you either don't know or don't care.
If you can put up with this crap, good for you.
I still think they should pay you for testing their software releases.
Do you get anything? Probably not - and you even have to pay for the software.
You test a software you paid for, for free. And even your data being is stolen.
I need an OS that works the way I want it to.
Satya and the gang gets rich on your lost and stolen data.

Actually, I sleep quite well because I am on Windows 7.
I would not mind a Windows upgrade, but not at the price of nullifying my privacy.
There's a reason why sie Germans banned Windows 10 in schools, you know. |
