I'd love to see a post-mortem on this game's development process.
It seems like they started early with a good engine, worked out gameplay and are now rewriting parts of the rendering engine to make sure this game is up to date, and uses the new technologies that were not commonly available when they started with their original design.
That requires careful planning and modelling. OR it could mean that this is just continuous teasing and the game really is not near completion..could be. |

I think an incredible amount of effort is being put into this game.
When it finally hits the shelves I'm sure it will do well regardless of the uproar to do with release dates. |

Well said. Think of all the outcry over Half Life 2's delays.... |

You know, Lemon8, when they first started back in 2001 the engine looked great for the time but was only ok in about year and a half. They rebuilt some parts of it since then and added tons of features (most impressive is the day/night cycle). At first they didn't even think about adding these features at all, this wasn't even possible to implement at the level of technology of year 2002 or 2003. And aren't you happy with developers always adding new cool things during ALL dev. cycle? As for delays, it's quite an ambitious title, right? So why are you so naive thinking that they can do it in time?
Just be patient, that's all. |

| DX9 fx aside, this is simply one of the best gameplay trailers I've seen in over a decade of gaming. STALKER keeps astounding. |
