Today, CD Projekt Red announced two expansions for the upcoming RPG, The Witcher 3, which promises to add new areas and 30 more hours to the game. It's funny how life goes, if they had released this game on the earlier release date, I would probably be playing it constantly. Instead, I ran out of good games and fired up SWTOR again for the first time since 2012 and am now 100% re-addicted and playing, lots of fun new changes.
If this had been on time, I would never have gone back to SWTOR at all, most likely.
It's almost annoying to me that I have this pre-ordered, because right now I feel conflicted about going to this over SWTOR, even though there is every indication this will be an incredible experience.
Oh well, too many games is not the biggest problem a guy can have.
In general, I like what CD Projekt Red are doing. GOG.com is the nicest game outlet on the Internet, and they're giving a lot of stuff for free with this game. The stuff they'll charge for seems substantial - 10 hours of gameplay seems like something almost OK to pay for. Most DLC feels like just stuff they took out of the finished game and are charging you extra for because they can... |

I am pretty sure that these have been ripped out from the game just to be called expansions and DLCs.
And now they are trying to get the game working correctly with/without them as they cannot meet their deadlines once again... |
