Microsoft has just announced that the preview build for Windows 10 is now available, and that the final version of its new OS will come with DirectX 12. Microsoft has not confirmed yet whether this new API will be exclusive to its new OS, or whether it will also support Windows 7 and Windows 8/8.1.

M$ You bastards
you got away with this shit with dx9 on xp, to vista dx10 with that pathetic excuse of not being able to backport and stopping anyone else from doing it.
but not anymore as dx12 is almost meaningless to most game developers..they aren't interested in fucking windows lockin
Add while MS they sat on arses doing fuck all for pc gaming, all these other game engines like unity, cryengine and unreal etc have all gone multiplatform with opengl support, so dx12 where are you going to find your developers  |
