AMD have released a new beta version of their Catalyst video card drivers that offers increased performance but completely drops support for Windows 8.0. I would ask "is this the version that works?", but it would be pointless. None of their drivers have worked worth a hot-fried damn for over 25 years. ATI drivers are crap -- past, present and future. I'd hoped getting bought out by AMD would change that, but it hasn't. Apparently they left the same group of lazy code monkeys in the cage. I'm done. Finito. No more ATI/AMD for me, thanks. My latest build is Intel/Nvidia, and I don't foresee that changing.

Haven't used ATI in years.. Drivers always sucked and when they went to bloatware CCC it just got worse. I even bought a mid-line video card for the HTPC and had lots of probs. Literally went back 2 hours later returned it and got a somewhat equivalent Nvidia card. Surprise surprise, not a single damn problem. ATI has always sucked.
