| 20 bucks a month? who are they fucking kidding. Here have it for free for ages.. now subscription model?.. F off. All of what they are giving was available for free and a lot of it contributed by community. Being that I've worked with UDK it's a joke. I know I wont be touching UDK this round. |

The UDK remains free and the sub is to get you continual access to the latest C++ sourcecode. The article missed this bit out though. |

it would seem like a good deal for actual game developers who want to use the engine for there own game.
of course that was before crytek just announced there own offer
never tried either |

| Thanks tiamat, still what they want a subscription for was not paid for before. Not in my recollection. I stopped everything shortly U3 and went back to Source. I haven't looked at Crytek but people told me I could pick it up.. I don't think I have the time for another engine. |
