I wouldn't worry about it too much either until it became a reality. Even if it does gain any traction and becomes something people use it will most likely force MS to run sales and such on live similar to steam. Live and xbox work well which is the biggest reason the whole games for windows thing was such a big fuck you to PC. More competition is good imo.

I'd buy an Xbox before I bought a steam box. LOL! I have a steam box, it's my gaming PC. End of story.
