DM is still pretty raw. They've casually snipped off two slices of singleplayer and turned them into DM levels. Movement is painfully slow, and weapons are wimpy. Generally you get close-quarters mayhem as a crowd of peeps in a room tries to grav-gun tables and cabinets at each other. The novelty wears off quickly. Maybe someone can mod something good out of it...

I'm addicted as hell to this. It's great fun, especially killing people with objects and not guns. I came in 1st and 2nd on some servers merely by crushing them with objects, lol. I don't mind the movement etc, but I agree it was quickly slapped together. In time with fixes it's gonna be the most fun DM you can play. At least to my tastes. I have left the UT community entirely. I am working on some maps and models and then going to start my own mod. I tried in UT for a mod but not enough interest. So I decided to go it alone and work a few hours a nite with the SDK. Got mapping down pretty good and expect a DM and CS map soon and then I want to model a few things and dive into code. Then I'm going to recruit a team once I have something started. This engine is so full of features it's insane. All the need now is contributions such as props etc. Basically you have to start from scratch and can't really import any previous HL1 props or prefabs..Crashes for me when I do.. So having to start each map from scratch takes time..
