DICE confirmed that Battlefield 3 for the PC will not use an in-game server browser. DICE’s Alan Kertz has confirmed that in order to switch servers, you have to exit Battlefield 3, and use Battlelog website to find another server and join.
Well, it sounds different, but that does not mean WORKS different. The di

Seriously if they had any brains they would implement a steam like in game browser interface, that way you only have to launch the game once for a session and just use the in game browser to do all that other social crap and selecting different servers. Obviously that would still allow players to use a real web browser and goto the same site and do all stuff without the game engine running, and obviously selecting a server would then launch the game like they intend now, an in game browser atleast gives the best of both setups for those who would rather have the game running should they decide one server was complete shit, just open in game browser and goto a different one should take less loading time.
This external client, with game engine separated is nonsense, its one of the things that bugs a little with League of Legends, every new match you setup to play, requires all players in it, to load the fucking game engine all over again. Not so good when someone has a stone age pc. |

I Agree
I wonder by the time you select a Server in browser and start the game, the slots became full. I hope it somehow reserves a slot too you for a time until you load it. |

having played the alpha I know that this is no bad thing it basically is the same as any game with a server browser its just on your web browser instead of in game and doesn't take any longer to launch after choosing a server than other games.
Don't care what anyone else thinks this game will be awesome and I will be there playing it. |

Seems a bit retarded that you have to exit the game to get a another server, but as long as there's DS i dont mind. But there gonna run into lots of shitE on launch when it comes out.
Looking forward to Sep's Beta see how it goe's. Other than that if they get it running right it's gonna be a great game ! |
