With Gears of War 3 releasing in September, Epic has planned ahead and already has five titles unrelated to the Gears franchise already in production. Yeah yeah whatever UT3 wasn't that game was it now.

Still if they could revitalize Unreal Tournament and target the PC platform again, they would be back on track. Let this Gears of Fail be the last console oriented project.

They finally understood that consoles are a lost cause, only suitable for kids that would be happy with flash games anyway.

Their engine might be nice and capable, only a very few games built on it are actually fun. I still play UT'99 because it's fun. Unlike the new UT games.
Several other companies suffer from the same disease: Valve (Half Life), Blizzard (Starcraft), Whoevermakesitnowadays (Duke Nukem) just to name a few. They just can't renew themselves. They spend millions on rubbish, pushing up the game prices needlessly.
