There has been some confusion over how EA\'s new Origin service will be integrated into Battlefield 3. Battlelog plays a big part, with the ability to browse servers and join a game directly from the browser. But according to DICE\'s Daniel Martos, Origin will be required in order to play Battlefield 3 (-twitter) i

Yea can't say that I favor having multiple game distro clients for the pc. EA is a huge publisher but Steam has been this platform similar to windows on the pc. I've used Impulse since I have some stardock games like sins demigod (which I don't play) and galciv etc. Impulse is better off as a digital download center through a browser instead of client but I digress.
Anyhoo I gave up on the BF series after 1942 since it became based on vehicles. I'm sorry but why even have the fps element if it's so meh . |

This is a dealbreaker. There are so many reason I'm pissed off at this game, but this is the last straw.
I have used Origin and it really sucks. You have to run the bloated client in your system tray which starts with your computer whether you like it or not, and it won't start minimized, and always gives off balloon messages in the system tray. Then when you try to launch a game it opens your web browser and you then launch the game from there. What a pain in the ass! Nothing good can come from BF3 because it is a virus.
Screw this crap company. |

| Not a deal breaker for me, I already have it installed from the Alpha and it can run alongside steam with no problems. Kompressor obviously has no idea about PC programs at all. Origin doesn't start automatically on my computer and as with every normal program notifications can be turned off try looking at settings. I am not at all surprised EA has done this but the fact remains they could have used every shitty DRM in the World and I would still get this. The Alpha was fantastic and I can't wait to get my hands on the Beta. As someone who actually supports PC gaming (by paying for games tride) this is one I won't miss (even if it is obscenely priced) . |

I envy you, and people like J.W. Bush. World must be one happy place in your heads. I bet you supported that monkey too.
Let me ask you something: If (theoretically) you would to pull your finger out of your ass, could you point to, let's say Australia on the map? |

so epic that more played bf1 and bf1942 then bf2. Frankly, I was too busy playing quake 2 and 3 at the time...I ain't saying the game is/was bad, I am no bf fan, but seems that fans didn't find it quite as appealing as bf1. |

I complained about steam when that launched, today, I won't spend a breath complaining about origin.
Ok, guys who say, FUCK ORIGIN PUT IT ON STEAM. WTF? What is the difference? It is the same piece of shit that requires you to log in, thing is, steam has a bigger userbase as it was forced upon people earlier... but at the core, steam = origin, so if you are going to complain one try not mentioning the other or you look like a noob.
That said, I preordered battlefield. It is the only online game I play now (BFBC2) and I view BF as something like an MMO subscription , $60 a year for the new version (update).
Only thing that pisses me off about BF is no demo support, lame. |
