xray, super shit op powers and invisibility = cheat mode abilities

I think they could have made this new dues ex more naturally challenging and engaging for the player to actually be skillful and sneaky, by not including nano shit abilities. 3rd person peaking around corners for better awareness, is the area I can forgive only because you can't fully rely on game sound. The inventory system, weapons etc seems good.. graphics, physics not all that great, hopefully its got the gameplay.

Actually the Thief series did just fine relying only on game sounds but staying first person. Various footstep/surface sounds combined with coughing, muttering, snorting, and npc conversations is all that's needed.

And yeah, I wish they'd stick to actually having to hide & be silent by using the environments (darkness, behind objects, timing movements based on guard patrols & camera pans, etc) rather than using a friggin augmentation and clicking the Invisibility button. Hopefully it will at least be a combination of both types of sneaking (if you call invisibility sneaking).
