Sadly, no surprise, this doesn't live up to the hype, for me anyway..
Got the demo on thurs and it looks and plays like an old duke game.
It plays and looks tired, dry one-liners are sooo played out.. Duke no way sounds like the same guy that did Duke 3D, the levels are empty and bland, it has nothing in the way of physics either.
It has glitches galore... creatures have been stuck through the floor in the mine, also jammed behind scenery.

This is sadly for me a 'Daikatana'. I'll rent it for purist sake, but nothing more.

You know what I found was that the guy who does the Duke voice, its like it just doesn't sound right at all.. like 3d animation movies where the voice actors for the characters sound nothing like the kind of aged character they are voicing. Only with this new Duke, the voice does go with the character, its the same voice actor afteral, only it also sort of doesn't sound right either, like the recording is off, or the guy doing the voices is like just worn out... i dunno, it just doesn't sound like the older classic Duke games where the voice just fitted in so much better and more fun, even the one liners just fitted in. Now it just seems a bit off in general.

Anyway hopefully the game will make up for the lack of decent gfx and engine explosions, physics etc with a decent length storyline and multiplayer.
