Sony released an apology to PlayStation customers, gave a brief outline of restored services and offers gifts for compensation of loss of service.
Sony will turn on most features of the PlayStation Network within a week and offer its customers a selection of free downloads, it said early Sunday morning.

so, affected users will be compensated with so called goods that actually don't cost a dime to sony, they are not hard copies, have no physical value whatsoever AND as a plus you get access to some "premium" service (I assume that it's worthless?!).
well, I personally would prefer cash and would jump on that public suit bandwagon...But then again, I am smarter than to buy fony products... |

They got my name, address and phone number and an expired VISA. Yippe. Like this hasn't happened to VISA or MC or your own bank! I've had my debit card defrauded 3 or 4 times and you know what? It never left my pocket. I remember Valve getting hacked too and someone walking away with a beta of their game? Remeber that? Anyhow, from here on, I'll be using points cards. Decided that long before this happened. |

So, they compensate for loss of service. Ergo, they admit that there was a loss of service.
Do they compensate for security issues? No. Ergo, there were no security issues. |
