It appears the new Frostbite 2.0 engine will be DirectX 10
and 11 exclusive, meaning no DX9 or Windows XP support. A DICE

Let's hope Punkbuster upgrades their software because they not support 64-bit executables. In Crysis Wars I'm forced to use the 32-bit exe because I can't play in servers with PB on with the 64-bit one. |

| About time if you ask me, anyone running XP still doesn't deserve to play Modern games, I skipped Vista and jumped on 7 when it came out 64bit at that. If only Microsoft would grab there balls and bomb off 32bit OS's the world will be a better place. |

Would be even better if they could actually pull their finger out and deliver an OS that wasn't so such a broken stink bomb of piss poor noob shit design. Then maybe it would give reason for people to actually find value in upgrading, instead of just being forced (one way or another ignorance mainly) because of it suits the money grabbing scumbaggery corporate tactics in marketing to stupid people and businesses.
For me I'm loathed to use win7 I have it on VM for testing, but rarely ever any reason to use it, such as testing explorer shell extensions to see if there is any third party hope for the junk OS etc. Maybe if BF3 doesn't turn out to be crap I might install the win7 64 on a separate hdd, but really is no point, the Winshi7e OS was designed for noobs and those who can't tell the difference between intuitive and functional workflow design, its a shoddy experience. Maybe Win8 will come out and not be so fucking shit (I have even more doubts on that nowadays), then I can skip Vis7a. For me XPsp3 with 3.24gb and large ramdisk to make use of the rest of the ram is a much better professional experience for practically everything I do including gaming. Not even missing out on browser GPU acceleration  lol... stupid Microscum bums |

XP is n00b shit. Only a lazy fat bitch with a chip on his shoulder with a big mouth can complain about it. 3 things important to me over XP and I think to any PC gamer.
1. I prefer support for my 16GB ram and QUAD core. .
2. I prefer to use my DX10 card. So why not an OS that supports DX9 and 10?
3. I don't work at 32bit, I prefer 64bit and I'm not talking lame XP 64bit.
XP 'was' a great OS and I'm glad future game support for it is declining. |

Hey dumb ass, the custom visual style I use looks vastly better than any failAero shi7e style ever made for win7.. and you still can't get around the piss poor explorer layout and limitations.
3year old desktop screenshot, not even the depicting the improved explorer shell and customizations made later.

If that is the case and you need access to 16gb of ram then fine (personally I think you're lying to make a point, because its about all you got in your weak argument, most people don't even need half that unless they are rendering dealing with high resolution video/image data etc), ..only 6gb with a 4ghz oc i5 hardware here, I see no reasons to use 64bit Winshi7e for the vast majority of time, as /3gb of accessible memory is plenty for most apps including productive apps, while the rest is put to use as a ramdisk. No need to bother using dumb handicap OS for spastics who need oversized icons and pseudo false security along with crap slowflow ui/ux, when I can use Xpsp3 and not only have a far better more functional explorer shell and extensions etc nothing I'm missing out on from win7, especially not lack of performance and customized shit. Just look at the shit design for win7 and the rest of stupid ass crap that wasn't improved... its a junk infested heap of crap for retarded fanboy noobs like you Cockle/Tom to try and pathetically defend.
I'll use 64bit/Dx11 as and when its needed that isn't a problem for me, but don't expect me to turn a blind eye to the stinking Win7 design just because retards fanboy I have fallen for it and don't see the flaws. What is so funny about you noobs is that you really have nothing to point out that is makes Win7 better I know all the pro/con arguments for it, but hey you just keep falling back on 64bitness, directx .. maybe when you can attempt some other argument of pointing out a feature I'm missing or something  and lol good luck with that.
