s to give it just that. There is still hope for us PC players. (thanks Mike)
Early on BFBC2 our PC playtest feedback showed that weapon feeling was lacking. It just wasn\'t as much fun to shoot the guns on PC as on console. With controls being the big gameplay difference (mouse vs pad) it quickly became clear that s

Moron development.
"PCs have capabilities beyond that of a console. The gap is narrowing, but PCs still have a clear advantage in memory."
Really the gap is narrowing? dx11 is still a worthless joke for installing that MS scrubnub win7 fail explorer garbage. dx9 is enough to get console ported gameplay. And no memory is not the only clear advantage.. a mouse is how about not screwing up basic shit in game development.
I think the fail will continue, they still can't even figure out what 'dumb it down' really means to a PC gamer even the semi hardcore ones.
stand>crouch>(prone) "nope, gotta take that out"
I think its quite sad that basic game balancing issues such as the ones mentioned in that guys post are not even fixed, having gotten past whatever fail beta testing team they actually have (probably all consoletard players), can only assume the actual developers working on the PC version lack any vision of what is required, when its obviously easier to just do less.
"It's a damn sight harder to please a PC player, they have higher expectations. "
Actually the expectations have never changed, it's idiot game developer leads that have just brought down the standards, publishers are ok with that, but then they are mainly assholes anyway. The kind that give the game a demo run on a console instead.
It's much easier to design a game with constrained limits such as the console environment. Simpler casual gamers, simpler arcadish gameplay, simpler interfaces, simpler options, simpler control input, simple, shallow, simple, SHALLOW.
Just the right type of game for a console market, that will buy into a new improved/fresh release a year down the line. PC Gamers want more depth than that, entire communities/clans/mods/maps don't get built around shallow games.
"PC players also demand a PC interface, a server browser, and anything that feels like it might have been "ported" from a console is going to get flamed hard."
Well dur!, shit like that is the basic bread and butter of any half decent PC game.
I doubt DICE will put BF3 back into a position of where most PC gamers of BF2 would like to see it improve on, but one can only hope, they owe a lot to the PC gamers in the first place for popularizing the franchise. That obviously means shit in terms of console generated profits, but it will be interesting to see if they can actually deliver something that expands on just some mildly expected improvements over BF2/BFBC2. Don't give a crap about the graphics as far as I care dx11 super detail can wait until Microsuck actually deliver an OS that doesn't suck so bad that its aging counter part still makes it look like some half assed developed dumbed down carp.
Anyway I welcome more fail from the likes of: EA/crApdivision/Blizztard you're all on my shit list of do not buy from ... get off the PC market your poisoning it! A market gap for something decent in PC gaming can be filled by someone else. |

Completely agree with every syllable of what Koogle said.
PC gaming is being F*c*e* up the A*s* by console ports.
IMO Best FPS shooter on the PC is still Rainbow 6 franchise. (Before it was consoled)
And while I've also forgotten to take my medication when are the tards going to sort out bullet damage.
Hard-core mode my arm, a piece of metal travelling at 750m per second hurts, once will stop you dead in your tracks don't care where it hits you.
Yes keep your gay console modes, but at least add another option for a bit of damage realism for the people that would like to play one shot one kill, or at least one shot I've just lost my knee cap they can't run away returning fire while they take 2 more rounds in the nuts.
mmmm medication.... and do we really need airstrikes every 60 seconds on a map the size of a small shed. |

I'm glad PR departments haven't sunk to putting out messages to unsatisfied customers that they aren't taking their medication Tell you what, you rewrite my post based on this medication you have in mind. I'm intrigued as to how my view on the shit will change. Or will I just become like you, more placated and actually quite satisfied with the fine and dandy crap of watered down software/game development?
Because its only prejudice fools. and quack jobs that say others should be medicated. Next time before wasting your time trying to comprehend the point of anyone else's message that doesn't fit in line with your jaded collectivist beliefs. Take that medication you talk about, maybe it will have the opposite effect on you because the reality that you experience things in is obviously oblivious to the actual problems it causes.

Ok so create another account and try to act like another person agrees with your own stupidity and what? Make it look like you have support? The least you could have done was fill in Dave's information and make it look at least somewhat plausible. Wow you are one f'ing messed up person. LOL! I guess I wasn't so far off with the bipolar eh? Get a life man, you're an embarrassment.

That monkey (sadly- poor monkey) represents your childish mentality Tom ..and yeah I'd be embarrassed if I was anything like you.
FYI, I have no idea who 'davetay' is (whoever you are: Tom wants to run a full background check on your life dude ).. you might need to get a REALID otherwise he'll accuse you of cheating the internets.
I guess my views on things are expressed in such extreme lucid manners that its not something anyone could possibly even slightly agree with and understand. |

koogle dude, Tom is rocking your cage, and you are letting him do it every time You know he plays FPS on PS3 with gamepad, why argue with his opinion in the first place? (in any topic for that matter). We can bash eachother about EULAs, privacy etc. but I simply can't comprehend FPS+gamepad so I do not go into deep arguments about that with anyone. I just say my opinion and don't care about comebacks |
