According to Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford, former 3D realms frontman George Broussard lost somewhere between 20-30 million in personal funds on the ongoing development of DNF.

I'm sure the game will do well, enough for it to have another sequel in forever development after its release no? |

is that the money he didn't make or the actual cash loss of his? I didn't hear about that guy being rich, so if it's his personal money, I wonder how he made it, I would like to give it a go
..I bet it's just the money he could have made in that time if he made 15 other games.... |
