lol you are not surprised? I just saw few guys spending over 1000 euros (each!) in an online "free" browser game just to win some wars. In under 5 days. I mean, I play that game, haven't spent a cent on it, and I am guessing WoW must be better game than that one lol Very Happy It can't be worse lol (I am talking erepublik if anyone plays that crap here)

"Wow craptastic. "

..Wow Crapatalysm Very Happy

Y'know I can see they are going to have a harder job on attracting players back this time, the previous 2 expansions offered entirely new environments etc ..this update of the original worlds and the changes they've made this time (sure engine gfx improvements etc) ...but still meh and they continue to suck at balancing anything especially pvp/classes.

And the new playable Goblin race just looks lame. I think Murlocs would have been more interesting, actually they'll probably be for the lvl85-90 expansion.

Anyway World of Witchcraft is what I've come to see in this game as, if you analyze some of the shit that gets said in quest text, not that most do, I mean wow only really got its mega popularity after websites and addons popped up to help the gamer (perhaps that's a good thing or not at least they ain't reading such drivel, but still do what is asked ) go kill 15 wolves, 20 wild bores, your neighbor err, cute bunny wabbits, use this device to torture this person... I think their are two ways to look at it, and most just ignore it and see nothing wrong in it(its just a game right), but I think its pretty fucked up that the game designers are increasingly using weird shit like they couldn't think of better things for players to do. Oh well 11 million players getting more desensitized, its gotta be good for something right.

11 million players can't be wrong...or they can, if you ask me, wow sucks lol Very Happy (no offense anyone plz, I just find GW SO much better, pity that user base is so low)

btw. let people play wow, who cares, if thay like it - they will play it and pay for it. Good for them, let em have fun.

GW?

"btw. let people play wow, who cares"

Sure it has its fun and attraction, and competitive nature, personally I would never have played wow if it wasn't for the addons extensibility, it would be too limited. But its not without things I do not agree with it, its heavy grinding nature and gear is everything being a few of those things.

"they will play it and pay for it. Good for them, let em have fun."

Actually wow emu servers have big popularity, though really blizzard have still made shit loads on selling the games, kinda makes the lack of continued subscription payments from players very insignificant.

gw = guild wars

as for emu servers, I tried them just to try out WoW, they suck, lag, crash etc. Paying to blizzard is a good idea if you want to play the game properly, as with any MMORPG game. Hacked servers can be only fun for FPS since they are less demanding and number of players is limited.

i meant low lag, low disconnect rates etc. I played lineage 2 on hacked servers and it was hell, and that was even good compared to wow servers. If someone wants to grind that's his waste of time unless it's fun for for him/her. better have them grind then join parties Very Happy
