In a press release, Runic Games’ CEO Max Schaefer assured fans that a planned Torchlight MMO is still in the works. “We are still going to make the MMO,” he said, “but it became apparent that Torchlight II was the logical next step for us given the phenomenal enthusiasm of gamers petitioning us for multiplayer.”

I'm glad they made that change, Torchlight 2 is sounding much better looking forward to it. And more openworld/overworld outside environments to explorer, "Dungeons in Torchlight II have even more branching paths " good...I thought the dungeon levels in TC were too linear and samey.

Ya it was very repetitive. My character became so strong nothing was a match for me anymore. Thanks to someone on these forums I found out how to unlock certain things in the game and continue ranking up. It gave me quite a few extra weeks of enjoyment of the first game. TY to whoever that was, hx? I think.

Awesome news indeed. I am glad to see new entries in the gaming arena, from little companies that have high hopes, high capabilities and offer good gaming experience at great prices.

No I will not say to Diablo 3 to go ahead and die, heheh. This would be almost sacrilegious. Just hoping to see it arrive at some point.

It's great to have your prayers answered though

This game was more for casual gamers, the game was just too boring and not much customization....which is stupid for a RPG.

I hope they get rid of that useless vendor that sold things that weren't identified.. like did anyone buy anything off that guy? That was the gayest thing in the game. Yes Kirby, it was a more relaxed type RPG. When I bought it I wasn't expecting a Dragon Age type game...I do agree, it could be built up a bit more. By the looks of the next one and the popularity around the game I'm sure they will do more this time around.
