At least you don't have to blow them away with the card's fan, because that could be a problem for Nvidia cards! |

| Ya know what? friend of mine bought a new EVGA GTX 480 card (crazy bastard) he has zero noise or heat issues with his card. He's had it a few days now trying everything under the sun. Definitely states he cannot hear the fan while playing everything at max quality and resolution. I just told him, lot of biased bs reviews out there. I think EVGA is good at anything they do really.. My EVGA GTX 260, never had a problem with it and plays everything at or near max quality. |

You missed my point.
Since this was a driver related thread, my post hinted at the 195.17 driver, ie no fan rotation at all, hence you cannot blow the mosquitos away, if the fan is not working!
As for your GTX 480, if he is happy, I am happy for him as well. Newer revisions of Fermi cards, will obviously be better somewhat, but the fact remains that Nvidia screwed this launch. My local wisemen say : "It's better to lose an eye, than lose a good name". |
