Its not the UI that is crap, its everything else about the graphics like the bland and badly colored and designed units, world environment (even that nuke looked shit) etc.. color and lightning in some games has gone fucking crap! Its funny SC used a 256 color palette but they fucking used those colors well, just looking at SC2 and effects etc all its just bit VERY shit really. Especially for the Terran race, they've really been pooped on hard.

The ui size in SC2 is pretty much exactly the same only with extra 'stuff'.

Tom if it were for complainers and people wanting better improvements you probably would be knitting for technology and computer games would not be at this stage.

@Tom - we're advanced gamers now, bro. Been playing RTSes since the first Dune2 (circa '92) so we know what we like. We're not RTS virgins.

Good for you, so was I. Plus, I played Ancient Art of War and that was RTS. FFS, even M.U.L.E was a great game and imo that was an RTS. I played that on my Commodore 64 but if memory serves I played it on my Atari even before that and that was in the 80's. Actually AAOW was 80's too if memory serves, so sorry to say, but if anyone is an RTS virgin that would be you dude. I've gamed everything since the days of Pong.

Actually I got back farther, bro.. to the 70s with 8bit and tape drives (pre disk drives). M.U.L.E. was a classic. So many hours with 4 players on that one. I've seen quite a few RTSes in my time + mod them to dead (ie. Dawn of War currently).

Pong was the first game there was and that was 70's. I know I wasn't even 10. Since then I've played literally everything there was and still have a lot of it here including a second Vic 20 still in the box and plastic wrap. Received that when I got married. My TI99, The First IBM PC with the disk drive that still thunks when it reads a disk. Keyboard doesn't even have finger yuck on the keys. Wink Oh and somewhere in a box and newspaper is my Coleco Adam, ever have one of those? The turbo tape drive. LOL!
