what sort of meaningless nonsense was that? no half life game has ever scared, I guess what they hinting at is there need to be less lighting and more flashlight pipe/duct crawling and moar headgrabs.

How about a game that is original and uses brain matter or is sandbox-like in nature? HL1,2 needs to be fresh and bin the episode crap.

Scare more like surprise it what i experienced playing the half life series. He may be hinting the aim of the next installment, possibly horror genre specific.
