Well, I had 4 games in order. I was able to remove Assassins Creed 2 properly from my order before they send out.

I won't miss it anyway, trustable reviews say it's just as linear, and constantly doing the same stuff over and over again as the 1st one.

My main argument is that you should pay for it and then do whatever is needed to remove or circumvent the DRM if you find it unacceptable. Then let Ubisoft know that you did this, either directly by being vocal about it, or indirectly by letting them compare their sales stats to their torrent/crack stats.

Well. There's an honest mistake right there that the companies do.

You see, I'm from Argentina. Here the pirate market is so huge, that the legal market is almost unexistant.

Steam represents a reaaaaally good buying platform because I can buy the games at the same USA price, but a retail copy, for PC, PS3 or 360 have a 50% plus price tag.

So obviously, beign the games so expensive there's no soul here that didn't try a pirate/torrent copy of the product before buy it for real (or not buying at all bececause it doesn't worth it).

So torrent copies are potencially Steam/Direct 2 Drive/EA Store/Retail potencial copies also. And this is worldwide.

They loose money and "clients" and they know why!

Yeah they lose money that way, but they don't lose clients do they, because you are playing their games!

Nope, you are wrong - playing there games doesnt make me a client...
A client is someone who is willing to pay you for your services... (dont get this wrong Laughing ) So, they loose money and client with this kind of politics...
And i wont be screwed in any way... ill play what i want to play, just wont pay my "vote" to those who dont deserve it! Wink

Your actualy being the one acting linear.
The day i read a review and make my soul judgement by it, is the day i give up gaming! In all my years of gaming i've played games that reviewers have given bad scores on and slated them. Yet i've played them and thought WTF????? Brilliant game etc, etc. And on others thought the exact opposite!
Of course, you're grievance is actualy with UBI and not AC2.
Anyway,
AC2 is nothing like AC1, that's a fact. Some idiot review has it linear?? Flying about in Leonardo's machine is linear?? well.. whatever ...It's by and far the exact opposite. Linear is Wolfenstein, Call of Duty etc, etc. There are so many subquests and things to do that my copy of AC1 -i bought it on budget and started it, enjoyed it, then bought AC2 then BINNED AC1, to continue the FUN that is AC2 inc the DLC.
Of course that's your choice, but that's what makes humans different =choices Cool

It is pretty dumb to think putting you money where your mouth ain't! - Is going to achieve anything other than sending out the wrong signals to an industry that is in general really hell! bent on only looking for a certain type of signal and that is one whereby consumers go along this sugar coated bridge oblivious to the signs and warnings saying pitfalls ahead! Once lead on mass to other side though, that bridge back will be burned.

So go ahead screw us over, here take my money for this new shit! And please don't allow me to have any resale/return value on this junk, my consumer rights should be void, so that I can help make you more money you greedy fucking scumbags, who invariably prevent real innovation and creativity and force everyone to put up with your retarded fucking schemes by being the only pigs in the swill. A manipulated and controlled market is not a free market at all.

Another thing giving them money for this will only go towards funding even more development into drm and security on content to prevent any reverse enginereering on whatever retarded schemes they think of next, that will grind more money out of the stupid sheep. If you don't understand how fucking absolutely retarded this industry and others are being run and where this is going because of greed, patents, and other harmful things to society in general then you are a deadshit!
