As reported on the UK PC Gamer, they have found that
while testing review copies of the PC port of Assassin\'s Creed 2 they
got kicked out of playing the game whenever they happen to lose their
internet connection. Which simply means your game quits and you lose
progress!
We\'ve just received Assassin\'s Creed 2

Ubisoft can suck me.
First of all I am not going to buy these games, as a punishment for even implementing such a fucktard DRM, but I will download the pirated version, if they manage to crack it.
Razor and Reloaded for the win!
fuck you ubifuck! |

are these ppl really that stupid. legit users are just treated like criminals and these companies really don't give a shit about their customers. then they complain they are not making any money and piracy is the cause.
this is the exact reason ppl leech cracked games. cause they work free of this crap.
it might take a week, but this game will be cracked and probably downloaded more than normal because the ppl who bought a copy will also leech it to get a copy that works. its just going to make so much easier for everyone to get a copy. talk about shooting yourself in the foot. |

| I have to agree, I won't be buying any more Ubisoft PC games as long as they have this crap. |

It's obvious that this will get cracked, one way or the other. It's nothing short of a challenge to the crackers, really. And the end result is, as usual, that the people who actually buy the product will be the only ones to suffer from the insane level of DRM.
An incredibly foolish thing for Ubisoft to implement. |

What's next? Retina scan? Keeping your right thumb on a fingerprint detector? This is funny on so many levels If pirate groups managed to identify starforce triggers inside the various places of the code and remove them - how is this going to be more effective? |

| I played it on console. It was excellent. I have no plans to buy this game on PC. |

| It's just 1 more reason to be happy that there are cracked games around which protect users from these malware creators. |

In all the places I've seen this talked about, less than 1% of people have tried to defend this.
I think that's a wonderful thing.
Even though being on a console is a walled garden in a lot of respects, at least we don't have to deal with this kind of shit (yet).
Ps. Although for some reason I'm forced to sign into PSN to launch GT5:P which doesn't make much sense to me... Hopefully the disc version of GT5 doesn't have that restriction. |
