Spike TV\'s 2009 VGAs next month will be revealing quite a few new titles - non-CG Halo: Reach 2K\'s AAA make-over for Spec Ops, and Tron! 2011? Wow.
It will probably end up like:
- intergalactic marines (announced in 2007 for 2009, forgotten in 2008~2009)
- Brothers in arms: hell's highway (announced 2006, jaw dropping graphics, forgotten in 2007~2008, when released graphics was average for that time, limited success)
- other games should have been released this year, were announced 2 years ago and I have forgotten about them (I will remember them when they are released next year, probably wont play them thou.) |

I hope you realize that nowhere has anyone said that 2K's new shooter is a return to the spec-ops series. The more powerful rumor and one that makes sense based on that one video is X-Com, ESPECIALLY since they hold the license to it and have expressed interest.
Based on that huge dust cloud thing, and the destruction you see from space, it has to be X-Com. |

| No no, I didn't mean any of that towards you, I apologize, I meant it towards Heretic, he keeps thinking its a revival of Spec-ops. Why would they revive it, it wasn't that great. |

| Monolith is crazy to get into this crap. Tron was a failure in terms of the arcade, it was a mild success in theater and in PC gaming it failed. They put out a bunch of other games associated to Tron too and they all failed. I remember they had some Tron 2 stated to be coming out about 5 or 6 years ago and I thought back then, give me a break! Talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel. Anyhow I think it was gonna be a failure too and they canceled it. It was a good choice. Anything Tron has been a failure and I think all this is gonna do is decimate Monoliths reputation. I'd personally leave Tron to the movie and that's it. This teaser, if that's what you call this, is garbage and shows you zero. |
