Remedy developer MarkusRMD states on the official Alan Wake forum that all efforts are being directed towards the Xbox 360 version of the game, published by Microsoft: I\'m a PC gamer at heart (have a Core i7, Radeon 4890, 5.1 audio setup at home) so I do appreciate your concerns. Unfortunately all I can

Fuck you Microsoft and Remedy.
I want to see how you are going to sell your stupid Win7 with such attitude towards the PC community!
Why do they keep pushing this crappy machine anyway? |

Wow...
I was expecting something of a story driven mystery shooter, and it looked absolutely fantastic.
Now, whenever I hear "consoles first" I loose almost all hope for a game. It either means the game will turn into a twitchfinger fest or the game won't be living up to the promised visuals and/or will run like crap.
Also, apparently programmers forget how to make a fluent and precise mouse/keyboard control after wanking too much onto that damned control pad.
I've got both the PS3 and the 360 and I still yet have to see the light what exactly makes them so awesome.
If I can get a game for the PC I get it for the PC. And if they mess this one up they won't have a sale here. |

Consoles have nothing to do with a 'wow' factor, rather a simple buy game, play game without first waiting for a years worth of patches on the PC to make it playable.
Case in question; Empire Total War, it's buggered in sound, videos and pi$$ poor stable code. It runs like a bag of spanners on MASSIVELY high end machines -without afaik, any support for SLI. It's quoted as running on a 3-4 year old PC, that's why it doesn't have support for the most popular sound card out there, the Sound Blaster by way of EAX 3/4 This is why consoles sell games. |
