Today Rockstar Games released
quite a hefty FAQ on the installation process of the PC version of GTA IV. As part of an anti-piracy strategy, the publisher has implemented a strong form of Digital Rights Management, DRM for short, that requires you to activate your copy of the game once through the internet.

I own a PC to get away from the bull$hit that is M$ and it's XBox 'requirements', now we have the exclusive bull again applied to the PC by way of LIVE I'm sick of his monopoly on just about everything gaming! I buy Fallout3 and again it has LIVE, but wait, you want exlusive DLC you must have LIVE installed. WTF!! The PC is turning into a friggin' XBOX!!!!!
One time the PC was truly exclusive, now it is just second rate.
DLC? You can stuff it and the companies that suck Gate's arse. They quckly forget that it was the PC that put them where they are and not ANY console.  |
