Ubisoft has quietly released

the first patch for Far Cry 2, bringing their first-person shooter sequel to version 1.01. The game will update itself automatically upon launch. For those of you who need a manual update, the patch can be found on

What is glider?

I had a problem with getting stuck on mounted gun turrets, after remapping the "use" key. After changing back to default mapping I could leave the turrets again.

Glider = Hang-glider(or hand-glider). The big kite thing you hang underneath and use to fly (using gravity and wind only).

I haven't found one myself but I know there are some in the game.

Ah ok thanks for that. I thought it could have been a codename for the game's internal system or something.

It's just that the game has bugs with keyboard remapping in general. Being able to dismount from gun turrets is far more important than issues with a hang glider I would have thought.

Anyways, I will test the patch to see if the issue has been sorted without being mentioned. Devs like to shorten their lists to pretend like more things were not wrong with their initial releases.
