Editors average $40-65,000, so don't say she couldn't afford it.
I'm just saying if the gaming industry is the industry she chose to edit for, and she happens to work for "playstation" magazine, then if for nothing other than marketing purposes and selling more of her magazine she should have to buy one and act like she likes it. |

Cant blame her for not wanting a PS3 right away, $600 is stupid, she said she wants one but not at that price
She shouldn't lose her job she's not a reviewer just an editor she doesn't need one to full fill her job, and last I checked its not called "Playstation 3 Magazine"
Lose her job, you should lose YOUR job for being dumber than Sony. |

I'm just sick of people bitching about the price. For the hardware that gets put into a console, it should be considered a deal. Think about it, your getting the power of a modern multi-thousand dollar computer, for quite a lot less. Also, If microsoft didn't have the deap pockets it has due to its windows domination, the X360 would cost a lot more than it does. For a PC gamer an X360 is a waste since the only good games on it have already come out for PC.
My thought was that if anyone should be a SONY fanboy, it'd be the editor of said magazine.
I myself wont be getting one, unless they start supporting mice and keyboards. I just don't get immersed with a regular controller, and immersion is the only reason I play games. The wii controller seems cool but the lack of graphics power will start to look plain too soon, and nothing curbs immersion like dated graphics. |

PS3 or Xbox isn't a computer. It's a gaming machine. Purely gaming. And you are contradicting yourself. You say it's a computer and then you say you demand a mouse and keyboard...
Console is a console. It play's games, it doesn't do word processing or spreadsheets.. It's merely a very nice gaming system. It's a system as well that provides a gaming solution that is WAY CHEAPER than PC. |

Hate to correct you xxxx..But the PS3 will be able to have Windows or Linux installed on it. Without hacking it. It is...A PC, as if we didn't see this coming back when they lauched the Xbox (1).
Anyway, good for her for voicing her opinion. She probably will be given one anyway. Is it expensive? Yes. Is it feature packed? Yes. Will a lot of people go bankrupt buying it? Probably. Will I be getting one? No (but I'm sure my Dad will, to play Madden). |

| OH! Oops! Hehehe, haven't followed PS3 very much.. I'm more interested in the Xbox360...But I'm still waiting on the price drops. I'm in no huge rush for a console yet.. a few more PC games yet to go before I commit myself to console.. My PS2 will have to cope for now!! |
