The services guide is not bad, aside from his attitude. Things I would suggest HOME users not disable is System Restore. If you are not elite at Windows this feature alone can save you a lot of grief..And don't disable Remote Assistance either. There is NO security threat having it on and his paranoia is kinda stupid..
I really don't know why people feel they have to have a Service guide when there are already very established ones with just the same recommendations as well as followup comments.. But to each his own.. guess it's something to do when you're bored..
I personally still use BlackVipers..
I wish MS would make a Wizard that would ask Users questions during installation and disable the services as needed. |
