| WOOT!! I will always remember the first time I played OFP 1 the first time. The AI blew me away. I absolutely LOVED how you could kill your own teammates and in turn they would turn on you and hunt you down, even to the point of getting chased down by tanks and stuff. First FPS to have vehicles as well i beleive. Too awesome for words. As long as the graphics don't blow I'm gettin this for sure... The gameplay is sure to be totally kick ass. |

Was it not OFP1 where you get killed and sit there and wait 10x longer than a typical CS match? No thanks. Boring. Even good gfx couldn't help this game if dying is the same. AI was not brilliant either, there are many games the computer would turn around and kill you. Just like SWAT3 and various others..As well OFP was not first game to have vehicles. You need to play more games miglaugh..Ever heard of Tribes?? |

Well, its a Combat Simulator type of game. It had diversity when the game came out. I dont remember any other game that had so much span as OpF.
Big islands and much land to travel on. And a load of armored warfare to chose between. The AI was new to me when it came out and the opponent was ok. Much about your choice of action and position in it. No health packs or regeneration. Much more planning into it then general FPS games where there is more constant action going on. Depending on the type of game mode of course. And there is a editor to the game too. Where you can play around.
But there is a game type mode that is more appealing for OpF. CTI = Capture the Island. The wide span of land that can be used and the multitude of players would make it a great game to play and a experiance. But i hate it when it got out of sync so everything got messed up. Hopefully Armed Assualt will be as great as OpF. But with more toys to play with and stuff =) |
