| this is another problem with ATI. They always simply care about their 'current' products and forget about those that have just slipped from the limelight. Meaning, I have a X800 and do you see performance increase claims for that card? Pff, ATI don't give a shit about these older cards. When I had nVidia I always saw improvements or just overall stability increases and even my friends have ALWAYS noted speed increases with their slightly older nVidia cards. ATI just doesn't put the care/effort in their drivers and the quality speaks for themselves. 6.1 - 6.2 - 6.3, 6.1 were probably better for my card.. the other releases are buggy and the CCC is even more bloated and it doesn't even come up now and it says (I am administrator) that I don't have permissions to modify something in the CCC when it first comes up. ATI just plainly sucks. If you are in the market for a good video card, GO nVIDIA. ATI also doesn't fix bugs with any priority. When you load up your games and you see that nVidia logo, remember, it DOES mean something and don't let someone tell you it doesn't. I've been with ATI for perhaps the last 3.5 years..after this X800 it's over. I don't care if someone gives me the card free, ATI will not be in my next PC. I want a real gaming machine, not some poorly supported FAKE. |

theres a time when its just not possible to squeeze more out of older cards.
the "current" products are the one with less optimised drivers.. so they have the largest headroom for tweaking.
the x800 got lots of tweaking in its time and great speed improvements...
but if they come up with something that would benefit all cards.. of couse they'd make it work for the older too.
and about the CCC.. mine works fine on 6.3 so theres playinly something broken in your computer. dont blame ati for not being able to keep a smoothly running computer |

Urf urf urf, so much subjective scathing, not so objective is it? Look it up and get what i mean and next time spare us or someone your scathing and do something about it instead.
- ATI also doesn't fix bugs with any priority.
* Oh really? Please prove it. |

| Exactly why ATI sucks. Filled with misinformed people like you. ATI fanboys are funny though, cuz they always go for your PC as the problem. Too bad you don't know my credentials, but I know A LOT of people that will have a damn good laugh reading your comment. Just as I did. Thanks for the laugh.. |
