Seriously...you think there will be ANY games worth a crap just *6 months* after the developers get the final kits? Give me a break. You'll be getting PS2 games (with slightly prettier graphics) to play on your shiny new PS3. Enjoy.

And no, I'm not an xbox fanboy. I don't own a 360 either (and don't see any reason to get one for a long long time, if ever).

well i'll be getting one if it can do stuff like a mediacentre.
not for the games.. console games always bored me - but it'd be a neat addon to the lcd tv

Seems to me that you'll be getting PS2 games with better graphics for the entire life of the PS3. Smile

BR use for games is just a desperate attempt at securing some sort of uniqueness. They can't compete on Gfx, Net, Controller. Hey lets sell it to the idiots buy filling a BR disc with FMV so the X360 and Rev can't do a direct port.

As for the media centre functionality. Why not just buy a laptop or PC or anything else? You're really willing to spend $500-$800 on machine you're only going to use for Movies and Music?
