Seriously...you think there will be ANY games worth a crap just *6 months* after the developers get the final kits? Give me a break. You'll be getting PS2 games (with slightly prettier graphics) to play on your shiny new PS3. Enjoy.
And no, I'm not an xbox fanboy. I don't own a 360 either (and don't see any reason to get one for a long long time, if ever). |

not for the games.. console games always bored me - but it'd be a neat addon to the lcd tv |

Seems to me that you'll be getting PS2 games with better graphics for the entire life of the PS3.  |

BR use for games is just a desperate attempt at securing some sort of uniqueness. They can't compete on Gfx, Net, Controller. Hey lets sell it to the idiots buy filling a BR disc with FMV so the X360 and Rev can't do a direct port.
As for the media centre functionality. Why not just buy a laptop or PC or anything else? You're really willing to spend $500-$800 on machine you're only going to use for Movies and Music? |
