According to Tribal War, Garage Games (ex-Dynamix devs) is working on a "spiritual successor" to Tribes (thanks VE3D).
There's a video that looks to be the next Tribes game. There is also a

I loved Tribes3 so much! (the singleplayer part; I'm not able to play multiplayer - no fast and cheap internet) I wish this would really be Tribes4, the idea to jump from character to character was great, and the gameplay was varied, always interesting.
