Microsoft released optional update **KB5089573** for Windows 11 (24H2 & 25H2), focusing on real performance gains instead of new visuals.
It makes the Start menu, Search, File Explorer, and app launching noticeably faster with reduced lag and better responsiveness.

| It’s supposed to throttle the CPU up for approx 3 seconds and then smooth after. I will try it this weekend. Then again I have 10 cores and 16 threads, so no doubt lesser systems will choke |
