Like asking how long a dick do you need. Who cares, as long as you use what you need.
This debate died after we went to 64bit systems. The whole point of RAM was to 'future proof' your build. It was *always* the cheapest option in an upgrade.
I've done the 16,32MB EDO, 8,16 and 32GB options and the very first thing you ever noticed -before SSDs, was loading was always faster of the OS.
Those that never upgraded are always going to bottleneck when gaming and running background processes. That's the whole point of RAM -the library.
Once that GPU runs out of storage it will utilize -slower- system RAM. But it helps if that is fast, otherwise the system will crash but at least it will generally continue to play
MSFS20 is a texture streaming beast.

| 16GB for just gaming. 32+ for gaming + anything else imo. I don't only run my game here, I have various other things going. I got dual display setup. 64GB does it for me. Plus I got my ram on a great price. |
