Nvidia will continue to mislead people (not just gamers) whilst there are no real consequences to it.
Much like any vendor or merchant.

I bought a TrendNet 2.5Gb switch.
After one month, one of its port negotiates only 100Mbit speeds and the max. bandwidth it can switch is 300MBits/s.
They replace it under warranty, sure.
But it will be a paper weight in a month or two, I'm sure.

The whole world is misleading! EVs quoted misleading battery/distance figures. It still never stopped sales.
On steam, people just talk games (sometimes in amongst the bullshit) looking at the headline of this YouTube article, I won’t go in it because I’m not funding a YouTuber directly from here.
Here’s a contradiction for you -directly against what you just posted. Read what the owners say themselves

https://youtu.be/EGRcJNlGtRc?si=3N7F4UMcZC2vnIP3

I just see people asking ‘can I play it with a 2060?’ ‘Yeah, it plays fine’ blah, blah.DLSS superb’ So how people perceive or even OWN games that have features that their GPU uses is an entirely different matter.
People use .dll DLSS for unsupported Nvidia cards and are quite happy, see?

You also know why sales aren’t a problem.
Because you have a regressive generation. I’ve YET to find a guy in his 20s that can build ANY PC, not a gaming one. ANY. This is a 100% handsOFF generation: get it built for them, can’t be bothered to read or learn how-to

Put a link on steam and they ask YOU to open it and copy/paste it for them to see what it says. No shit!

Just leave people to play what they want and make their own mind up.

Why the constant AMD bias.
I have some good mates in Turkey,America that I can actually ask what performs better or an opinion because they own both AMD and Nvidia/Intel for gaming. Not a paid bot, a real person.
Unsurprisingly none of them have an #X3D CPU paired with the 4090. They both had Core i9-14900K I asked why. They said the Core i9-14900K is faster in gaming single core and better in multi core performance.
It’s also a LOT cheaper than the 7950X3D. Nothing that the 7950X3D did or hype, convinced them otherwise.
That’s gamers for you, with decades of experience and building for themselves not for articles.
Humans at their best

You bring up solid points about gaming hardware, DLSS workarounds, and the AMD vs. Intel/Nvidia debate.
