I was just thinking of doing a survey of Gameguru readers' monitors. I don't believe everyone here has 4k Smile I myself have recently switched from classic 27uot; (1920x80) monitors to 32uot; (2560Ã?1440) monitors. Specifically, I have an ASUS ROG/PG329Q/32uot;/IPS/QHD/175Hz/1ms/Black at home and in the office

For for home PC, I have a 30 inch Dell U3011. Gaming in 2560x1600.
For work, I have a 24 inch BenQ can't recall which model. About 10 years old IPS. I don't game on this. 1920x1200.
I buy 16:10 only and since there's no decent 16:10 on the market...

This guy on the video is full of shite, don't believe a word he says.

Had a 3007WFP-HC for while, but newer cards don't really support dual link dvi and it was outdated. I now use an Odyssey G7.

I would get an ultrawide over a 4k monitor though.

These Samsung Odyssey monitors are nice, but, they lack the 16:10 ratio I need.

27" 1080p 144Hz. 4K would require a GPU that costs a lot of money. Not willing to spend that kind of money on this hobby. Hell above 90fps gaming on 1080p already requires an expensive GPU...

Any thoughts on an LG OLED42C3 or similar?
How far would you have to see to see the same size as a 30inch screen?

I read a tech article talking about 4K.
It would require 40% of your GPU to render in that resolution ontop of what the game requires to run it.

Complete waste of energy.

The best I could afford for my strict budget was the RTX 4060.
Which is absolutely perfect for 1080 & 1440 gaming using DLSS. I get a FreeSync/Gsync locked and stable of 102fps for Cyberpunk and StarField all on maximum settings @1440 using DLSS. Very good budget card, uses about 115W gaming and no fans run when using games that don’t push it or it’s idle.

ViewSonic Gaming 27” curved monitor 1ms 120/144/165Hz@1140 2HDMI and DP even has speakers.

Yes. You can easily run 1440p on a 4K (in games) but desktop, native is the best as we all know. You probably loose any chance of having Fan OFF being an option at 4K, I am kinda used to having Fan OFF being the default state on desktop and while browsing. Spoiled that way Razz
