- Red Faction hits retail shelves today - The PC version of Red Faction hits retail
shelves today in North America!
To celebrate, Volition has released the "Red Faction Toolkit".
This is a collection of in-house utilities and exporters for players to use when creating
custom content for Red Faction levels and mods. These tools enable easy addition of custom
character models, animations, special effects, level editor objects, and more.

- GTA3 and Smuggler's Run 2 Delayed - Two interactive announced that GTA3 and Smuggler's Run 2 will be delayed until late
October, and that Max Payne (PS2) won't hit store shelves until Q1 2002.
- Antivirus Definitions With W32.Nimda-Worm Removal - Symantec has issued
a new
definiton pack dated 18/09/01 with support for 54005 viruses and removal of the new
Nimda worm.
- Windows XP Tweak Guide - Tweak3D has posted a new guide in order to help
Windows XP users of any experience level gain familiarity with the new features that XP
adds. It's not so much of a tweak guide for performance, but a tweak guide for usability -
by knowing the new features of the OS, you can get up to speed even faster.
America's New War Update
- U.S. planes deployed to 'forward locations' - The U.S. has ordered more
military aircraft to move to the Persian Gulf region as soon as Thursday, sources tell CNN.
Those aircraft include B-1 bombers, F-15 and F-16 strike aircraft and other support
aircraft.
- Rumsfeld: More Than Just Bin Laden - The Secretary of Defense says
the billionaire Saudi expatriate is just one part of the problem: There are many
terrorists harbored in many.
- US to Taleban: Action, Not Talk - The United States has rejected the
Taleban offer to negotiate over Saudi dissident Osama bin Laden, saying Washington wants
action on the Taleban's part and not negotiations. The White House spokesman said
President Bush wants the Taleban to take the actions necessary to no longer harbor
terrorists, whatever forms that takes.
